Qyllscape started because most editors felt too harsh, and never fit into the themes of my own writing environment. Over time Qyllscape developed into a suite of options and tools that let you responsively customize whatever is helpful, from layout and colors, to the ambient candle-lighting that plays out on your editor.
Qyllscape is a nearly minimalist tool that is not intended to replace all other editors. Instead, it is intended to make it easier to sit down and write during the times that it feels most difficult.
There are many ways in which Qyllscape can improve, and updates to core functionality such as editing, exporting/importing, and all convencience tools will be released as often as possible. All users will receive updates for free, and the community hub and support email allows for user feedback which is always considered a priority.

Initial release is available on Steam for both Windows and MacOS, which will give users access to cloud-saving between devices, a Qyllscape community hub, and Steam achievements related to writing progress.
A stand-alone version is now available for users that do not wish to use Steam, and is offered through Gumroad. It is a simplified version of Qyllscape, and has not been tested as strongly as the Steam version. It may also take longer for updates to be available for the stand-alone version.
This project is a one-person effort, and I'm currently balancing Qyllscape development, editing a children's fantasy novel, marketing, and my full-time job when I have time left over. I say all that to really emphasize how much I appreciate your support, even if you're just reading this page!
I am proud of the fact that Qyllscape is available, but there is plenty more to do before the project reaches its full potential.
